THE OPPORTUNITY:

Health and Safety / HSE Manager / Facilities Manager / Staffordshire / Derbyshire / 50-60k

Macildowie are currently representing a well established and market leading client based on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border.

THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

My client is looking to recruit an experienced HSE Manager who will be pivotal in the managing of all Health and Safety matters and ensuring that the site remains compliant at all times.

You will be key in the delivery of effective risk management within the business, including ensuring reduction of risk and implementing mitigation measures.

Other responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the legal requirements remain compliant, My clients policies and Health, Safety and Environmental management standards are maintained.
Evaluate, Monitor and act upon HSE performance trends in order to develop objectives and deliver further improvement plans
Develop and deliver a risk assurance plan within the site for the business and support other businesses
Identify HSE requirements and provide training where applicable.
Investigate and report on all HSE near misses, Incidents and hazard spots and ensure the follow up improvements are put into actioned.
Work to further develop the HSE culture and drive effective HSE governance within my client business
Undertake project based site and building improvement projects to match the company requirements and plans of my client.

EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

The things that you will need for this role are as follows:

- Have extensive, proven experience working within HSE in particular operating at a HSE Management level.

- NEBOSH Diploma, relevant degree or equivalent CMIOSH, or working towards it.

- A solid understanding of environmental management would be an advantage.

- Be computer literate.

- Be enthusiastic, show commitment and have a sense of urgency and passion and drive for continual improvement.

- You will be able to represent the business successfully with internal and external stakeholders.
