A leading payment solution provider based in Reading is currently recruiting for a QA Engineer to work as a member of a dynamic Agile development team on a range of Products, primarily payments solution software supplied to major financial institutions. As the QA Engineer you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing test scripts for manual and automated testing, software, security and web testing and helping to drive testing strategy.

Main Duties
*Work as a member of an agile team to estimate, plan and test new products\features
*Review, analyse and understand functional business requirements
*Participate in application design and create a thorough testing strategy for the product\feature
*Understand user profiles and the user experience bringing a user-centric approach to the team
*Create, run and manage manual and automated tests
*Participate in release testing
*Mentor other team members and provide QA leadership
*Create/track/retest software defects in designated defect tracking tool (Jira)
*Work closely with development and product management staff to discuss defects and resolutions
*Participate in and provide input during QA process improvement initiatives
*May on occasion be required to provide after-hours support for release deployments.
*Provide high level overviews of testing coverage, quality metrics and test strategies
*Assist with Automation test creation and strategy

Person Specification
*Outstanding written and verbal communication skills along with solid experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
*High level computer skills (general)
*Basic understanding of one or more of Java\.NET\HTML\CSS3\JavaScript (and a desire to learn more)
*Substantial experience in testing, automation testing, engineering support, or technical support environment or equivalent experience
*Proven ability to interpret results, identify trends and communicate appropriately
*Sound knowledge/experience of Web Application testing including Security testing
*Working in an Agile environment.
*Significant experience of software QA processes and methodologies/tools (Jira/Zephyr preferred )
*Use of UI Automation technologies
