Manufacturing Manager

£45,000 - £55,000 Plus Bonus & Benefits

The Company

My client is a leading manufacturer of components and technologies for supply into diverse automotive related industries. They have a small number of UK sites that all have massive growth potential and are supported by an international network and customer base that generates a multi-billion-dollar turnover and they employ more than 15,000 people worldwide.

Due to the performance plan to support the strategic growth they have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead the manufacturing team, improve processes and ultimately ensure that production targets are consistently achieved in accordance with the performance plan.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director the Manufacturing Manager will take full responsibility for performance management, working towards consistent achievement of daily, weekly and monthly KPI targets. You will also optimise opportunities to improve processes, product quality and quantity.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Budgetary responsibility and management of costs

  • Process improvements and possible cost savings

  • Team training and development

  • Health & Safety compliance ensuring best practice at all times

  • Liaison and co-ordination with your peer management group

The Individual

The successful Manufacturing Manager will be a trained engineer supported by an academic engineering qualification. You will have a proven track record of leading Manufacturing or production teams within an environment driven by a ‘Right First Time’ mentality.

You will have a proven track record of meeting (& exceeding) performance targets and be able to clearly demonstrate process improvements as well as optimisation of quality and cost.

The Benefits

In return the appointed Manufacturing Manager will receive a salary of up to £55,000 (dependent on experience) and a bonus of up to 10% (based on personal and company performance). You will also receive additional benefits of 25days holiday (plus bank holidays) private medical insurance and a matched contributory Pension.
