They mainly work within the UK however design services have been completed in Russia, Spain, Africa, Germany, France, and Sri Lanka. The company believes that petrol stations deserve more architectural attention than they currently receive. They strive to make designs for petrol stations to be as unique as contemporary residential and commercial design. Furthermore they have a number or residential and mixed-use projects in the UK, including the remodelling of peoples homes. Your new role
The company needs a CAD technician to work within a small team of individuals. The primary role is to make electronic sketches from drawings done by the architects. You will be working with both 3D and 2D design and working alongside architects and other technicians. The role may require you to work on multiple projects within a week and so time management and working under pressure would be essential. Projects are usually working on existing buildings to improve on or change current structure. Therefore rendering skills would be preferable to accurately adjust models. However some projects are taken from inception to completion and your role would be to aid the team throughout the process.
In addition, the client has specified that the location of their office is based in Stratford Upon Avon. They advised the traffic is awful in the morning and so the ideal candidate would be a small commute away or actually live in Stratford. It is important that anyone applying is aware of the congestion in the mornings.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- At least 2-3 years experience
- Time management skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- 2D and 3D design experience
- Be within a commutable distance
