The Role - Oracle PL/SQL Technical Implementation Specialist, PACS Healthcare Information Systems

Following expansion, they seek to recruit a customer focused TechnicalImplementation Specialist, responsible for a range of critical remote and on site technical support on a range of PACS (Picture Archiving Communication Systems) and RIS (Radiology Information Systems) Healthcare IT Systems and associated digital imaging products.

Key responsibilities include:

Gain knowledge and familiarity with customers and their environments within the assigned geography (current operations and workflow, desired operations and workflow, etc.)

Deliver a controlled implementation of assigned HCIS projects, liaising with Project Managers, Customers, Incident Support Specialists, Applications Consultants, 3rd party suppliers and Sales team.

Provide technical assistance to Project Managers, Applications team, Incident Support team, Customers and Sales as required or directed.

Provide enhancements and remote configurations to customer sites throughout the UKand Ireland.

Collect Voice of Customer (VoC) input.

Improve customer satisfaction by giving:

Timely response to customer contact

Prompt customer follow up and closure of requests.

Correction of Customer/ User mistakes

Assist in 2nd/3rd Level incident support on PACS and RIS solutions within the Nordic Region.

Where appropriate, implement work around solutions at customer site.

Maintain the PACS and RIS information database for logging/tracking service at each site.

Provide additional consulting, reporting and maintenance services to customers.

In this exciting multi-faceted role, the successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of technical support and project related tasks. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration and ongoing technical support of their range of PACS and RIS healthcare information systems throughout Scotland. You will work closely with your customers and internal contacts such as Implementation Project Managers, the Applications Team, Testing Team and Sales Team to ensure that customer expectations are met and that the highest levels of customer care are maintained at all times. You will regularly liaise with customers, providing second and third line technical support, customer training on newly installed systems, and project management support and expertise when involved with system installations and upgrades.

Your Background - Oracle PL/SQL Technical Implementation Specialist, PACS Healthcare Information Systems

Key skills for the role are:

·Oracle - database implementation/development, administration, dataguard, backups and recovery, tuning (Oracle DBA level a plus but not strictly required).

·Experience of an Oracle Programming Language - PL/SQL developer, SQL Plus

·First and second line product support for both internal and external customers.

·Development of simple integration components, (COM object based interfaces, Web interfaces, XML, etc.).

·Implementation and support of web technologies.

·Knowledge and experience of Microsoft 2003/2008/2012 Server support.

·Experience with Crystal Reports/Oracle BI.

·Understanding/knowledge of IT related medical standards: e.g. DICOM, Health Level Seven (HL7), and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE).

Beneficial to the role would be knowledge of the following, although full training will be provided for candidates from an Oracle PL/ SQL background if you don’t have the Healthcare IT background:

·Radiology Workflow, PACS, RIS.

·Common network protocols and technologies.

·Common security technologies and practices.

·Storage platforms technologies (RAID, SAN, NAS, tape libraries).

·High Availability technologies (for example, OS based, Veritas, Oracle).

·Web and HTML technologies.
