SEN Teaching Assistant -Birmingham- ASAP

Academics Ltd are currently seeking out SEN teaching assistants to work in Schools in Birmingham to start ASAP. These schools in Birmingham cater for children with emotional behavioural difficulties and social emotional mental health. This is a challenging role but a great opportunity for candidates with experience and ambition to work with SEN. Due to the nature of the role, these schools in Birmingham are looking for SEN teaching assistants that are resilient, compassionate and understanding.

The role

  • One to one support- supporting people with severe behavioural problems
  • Assisting children with additional learning needs
  • Adhering to safeguarding guidelines and school policies
  • Assisting class teacher with student support.
  • Liaising with parents and teachers regarding progress and specialised individual programmes

Requirements

  • 1 years experience working with children
  • Experience dealing with challenging behaviours
  • Available as soon as possible
  • Ability to travel to Birmingham

Desirable

  • Level 3 qualified or equivalent
  • Degree qualified
  • Experience of working with SEN children
  • Team teach (prevent training)
