Due to an increased work load, we are now looking to recruit a number of Legal Clerks / Legal Assistants to work in the heart of the city centre on a temporary, ongoing basis. Your new role
As an experienced legal clerk / legal assistant, you will be required to attend School Admission Appeals hearings to provide legal advice and assistance to the Independent Appeals Panel members. This will involve taking notes and interacting with the appellants and the Council's presenting officers. You will also be required to draft letters to notify appellants of the outcome of their appeals. There will also be day to day administrative duties required such as system maintenance and document filing.
What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced Legal Clerk / Legal Assistant, you will be educated to a degree level and have a current LPC or equivalent. You will have experience of working previously in a legal position and have experience of providing support to a wider legal team. Knowledge of the School Admission Appeals would not be essential, but would be highly beneficial.
