About the Role:

A truly brilliant regional BD (with Marketing) role(s) now exists for our client who are a leading national law firm. The Business Development Manager will work as part of the Client & Market Development team and will lead and develop business development and marketing across a specific practice group. we are recruiting 3 roles across their Corporate, Employment and Private Client teams.

The role holder will ideally be based in Birmingham, but as there is a UK wide office network, you can also be based from Manchester, Nottingham or London.

You will work strategically and tactically to plan, deliver and lead incisive and value-added business development support ensuring key objectives in the practice group are achieved. The Business Development Manager will work with partners to agree joined-up business plans, and subsequently ensure the successful execution of all plans and the measurement of results. They will be tasked with identifying and developing target markets, co-ordinating activities to develop the profile of the group and presenting the firm's expertise in a consistent and joined up way.

This is a collaborative role which requires the successful applicant to build strong, proactive relationships with Corporate fee earners across all offices and positive working relationships with the wider team who will be integral to the success of this role.

You will be confident, proactive and solutions focused, with a team-oriented attitude, and will possess strong project management and communication skills, with an ability to liaise, both internally and externally, at all levels.

This role would suit a business development professional with a strong understanding of targeting, managing pipelines, credentials and pitches and implementing BD plans.

A crucial element to this role will be your positive, solutions focused and creative personality. The team in situ are best in class, who work collaboratively and back each other as a collective.
