This role requires an intelligent graduate who has previous experience working with children who have special educational needs and has the skills to enthuse their students with their positive approach to learning. The successful candidate will have a calm, empathetic approach that allows them to efficiently deal with any challenging situations that should arise. In this exciting Teaching Assistant position you will be working primarily on an individual basis with a Year 8 student who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. In general, you will be receiving ample training and professional development opportunities through a scheme specifically designed to give support staff greater insight into what makes an outstanding teacher. Your responsibilities will include working closely with a charming Special Educational Needs Coordinator who favours an open, direct approach to leadership and is known for recognising the qualities that will one day make a Teaching or Learning Support Assistant an Outstanding practitioner.
