Our client on the outskirts of Newcastle-under-Lyme is currently looking for a Post-graduate Administrator to join them on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have excellent administration skills along with previous experience of working within the academic sector. The main purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the team, in relation to organising and running Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma, Masters and CPD courses.

Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the development of marketing materials (flyers and brochures)

* Update course webpages

* Answer and deal with telephone and email enquiries relating to courses, and give appropriate information and advice to ensure that a professional service is given to all prospective students

* Process course applications, booking forms and allocation of places

* Prepare course timetables, joining information and course handbooks, in liaison with the Course Director

* Arrange course venues, catering, hire of equipment, accommodation and recruitment of lecturers etc.

* Preparation of course participant list, files and supporting papers in advance of each course

* Assist the Postgraduate Manager with Quality Assurance issues

* Organise and prioritise own work schedule and work without supervision

* Be flexible and use own initiative and judgement when answering queries and handling correspondence, taking action as appropriate

* Work effectively and accurately at all times to meet tight deadlines

* Undertake any other clerical duties which may be reasonably requested

Job Requirements:

* Previous experience of working within the academic sector essential

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and SCIMS (Student and Course Information Management)

Hours of Work:

* 20 hours per week (5 hours per day over 4 days per week or 4 hours per day over 5 days per week), working between 9am & 2pm
