Our client, a leading law firm is looking to hire an experienced Bid & Tender Manager to join their team. You can be based in either their London, Birmingham or Manchester office.

The Bid & Tender Manager role is a newly created, stand-alone position, reporting directly to the Marketing and Business Development management team. Working closely with Partners and fee earners, as well as the wider Marketing and Business Development team, the Bids & Tender Manager will be responsible for the execution of firm-wide bids and tenders, from start to finish. This will include targeting new bids and tender opportunities, project managing bids and tenders, drafting pitch templates and submission documents, and potentially presenting to clients or supporting others with this.

Principal responsibilities

* Creating high quality templates for bids and tenders pitches

* Sourcing and targeting new bids and tenders opportunities

* Drafting, editing and finalising pitch documents and presentations

* Leading the project management of all bids and tenders across the UK firm

* Conducting regular meetings with fee earners and Partners to clarify business requirements and client needs

* Establishing, maintaining and developing both new and existing relationships with key internal stakeholders and external clients

* Keeping up to date with, and communicating, bids and tenders best practice; and updating our methodology accordingly

Key Skills

* 3 + years' experience with bids and tenders

* Degree-level qualification, ideally in a marketing discipline

* Experience working within the professional services environment is preferable

* Thorough knowledge of the local business market and networks

* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, internally and externally

* Strong negotiation and persuasion skills

* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

* A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work on own initiative

* The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks to meet strict deadlines

* Excellent attention to detail and organisation

* A disciplined and deadline-driven approach to work

* An understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality with regards to commercially sensitive information
