Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team over the busy summer period

Duties include;

* Working in a team reporting to Payroll Manager

* High volume multiple monthly payrolls

* Starters, leavers and amendments

* Need to have experience in payroll

* Validate and input all permanent data including bank details changes and court orders

* Check sickness report for absences

* Check entitlement for SMP, SPP & SAP payments, and other statutory payment information, as required

* Check, calculate and input information for new starters on receipt of forms

Issue New Starter Checklist, bank details and NI number requests to new starters as required

Follow up on employees who do not have National Insurance numbers and age exemptions

Check pay changes on receipt of forms

* Check and process any holiday pay, Pay in Lieu and redundancy pay for leavers on receipt of forms

* Check and process any deductions for leavers

* Respond accurately and promptly to pay enquiries from Officers, Employees and Pensioners as appropriate

* Escalate queries as appropriate to the Payroll Manager and Deputy Payroll Manager

* Complete, return, and record information requests

* Distribute P45s and reports to centres/departments in their remit

* Administration of incoming post and Payroll mailbox

* Assist in other tasks as reasonably requested by senior Payroll or Finance department staff
