QinetiQ comprises teams of dedicated people; experts in defence, aerospace, security and related markets. We draw on our extensive technical knowledge and intellectual property to provide the know-how and support to solve some of the world's most challenging problems. Our people make the critical difference to customers by providing unique approaches to problem solving. Why don't you join some of the world's finest scientific and technical minds and help us make tomorrow work today?

Why Recruiting?

With continued expansion plans in 2019, we are looking to recruit a number of Embedded Software and DO178 experienced Engineers to develop cutting edge electronics systems and work on a range of technically challenging projects, from rapid developments with tight time-scales to full scale system developments.

The Job

QinetiQ supports the delivery of secure navigation systems that can be depended on when accurate navigation, positioning and/or timing is mission-critical. Working as part of a team of engineers and scientists from across the business we'll look to you to provide coding that will be delivered into the next generation of multi-constellation, multi-frequency Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) Receivers, including for aerospace applications requiring DO178 certification.

You'll work throughout the engineering lifecycle, applying rigorous engineering practices; analysing, designing, implementing, testing, supporting and maintaining solutions that solve the mission-critical problems of our customers. This will involve supporting specialists across a number of disciplines including RF, electronics and FPGA design, digital signal processing, secure products, navigation products, and cryptography.

The Fit

With numerous positions available, we are interested in hearing from both candidates at the start of their career and more experienced individuals who already hold industrial experience.

Naturally you'll need direct experience working to DO178C DAL D (some DAL C elements) standards, able to support and mentor the wider team to help achieve design certification to DAL D/C. You'll hold a degree in a computer science, engineering or maths related subject (or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience)

Lastly, you'll also need experience using software design, development environment and test tools such as Enterprise Architect and Visual Studio.

To Apply

We look for outstanding technical people, creative and analytical thinkers, decisions makers, influencers and excellent communicators. Join us today
