The role would suit a self-motivated and balanced individual who enjoys challenges and working in a fast moving environment.

To be successful in this role you will be:

- Able to demonstrate significant purchase ledger experience with a demonstrable track record of success

- An excellent communicator - dealing with customers, internal branch staff, sales teams and the board

- Able to manage conflicting deadlines

- Proactive and positive with a can do attitude

The role requires a self-starter that can manage their own workload and prioritise tasks to suit business needs.

Job Description

To provide a professional and timely accounting service in respect to all payments of invoices and expenses through the Purchase Ledger

* To ensure that the Purchase Ledger is accurately maintained and process deadlines (payment dates) are met.
* To ensure suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed PSG terms and conditions, or in accordance with best practice.
* To ensure good internal control with respect to the Purchase Ledger function. For example, purchase orders (PO's) are raised and signed by the appropriate signatories, PO's are attached to invoices for payment, invoices signed by the appropriate signatories and coded correctly.
* To ensure all purchasing processes are followed and purchasing is timely and cost effective

Profile

* Significant purchase ledger experience with a demonstrable track record of success
* Experience of working in a fast moving business with ability to make independent decisions.
* An excellent communicator - dealing with customers, internal branch staff, sales teams and the board
* Able to manage conflicting deadlines
* Proactive and positive with a can do attitude
* Comfortable using different IT platforms
* Excellent excel knowledge
