Are you an experienced Sales and Commercial Marketing Manager looking for a fantastic new opportunity?

My client The Royal Life Saving Society UK - The Drowning Prevention Charity, an opportunity has arisen for a Head of Sales and Commercial Marketing to lead the organisations approach to sales and commercial marketing. In this role the successful individual will have the opportunity to revolutionise RLSS UKs sales approach, including our approach to recording and evaluating sales. In addition, there is an exciting opportunity to take advantage of emerging business opportunities to lead a growth in sales, contributing to empowering the charity to deliver its aims.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Strategically lead RLSS UKs approach to sales and commercial marketing.

* Generate new business and market leads in the areas established for growth including corporate partnerships, sponsorship, memberships and leisure.

* Develop and embed a sales system and process to allow formal evaluation of RLSS UK's approach to sales.

* Manage a team which includes a Commercial Manager, Senior Marketing and PR Manager, Sales Administrator and Business Development Officer

* To produce and develop marketing collateral to empower staff and supporters to generate leads for RLSS UK.

* Present monthly sales reports and forecasts to the Senior Leadership Team. In addition, presenting to the Board of Trustees when required.

* Work with Senior Leadership team to forecast sales and create sales targets

* Ensure that sales exceed expected budget targets.

* Support ongoing relationships with commercial stakeholders that will maintain business and generate new business.

* Oversee an integrated, cross sales approach to all RLSS UK products and services.

Person Specification

* Sales or marketing qualification or equivalent experience

* Experience of imbedding and managing a strategic sales approach

* Previous experience in either sales management or business development management

* Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities

* Proven experience of managing a team in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent team player with a can-do attitude

* Evidence of continuous professional development

* Good attention to detail

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

* Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects of strategic significance, prioritising and meeting deadlines without frequent supervision.
