Job Profile - Architect
McCartneys Planning and Survey Department are currently looking for an
Architect to join their successful and expanding team centered around Mid Wales,
Shropshire and Herefordshire. The Planning and Survey Department work
extensively within Wales and The Midlands, however due to the nature of our work
undertake projects throughout the country.
McCartneys Planning and survey department have a breadth of knowledge
covering all aspects of building surveying, including architectural design for
residential, rural, agricultural and commercial projects.
The duties of an architect would include a variety of surveying tasks within the
rural location including: Meeting and liaising with clients, Undertaking measured
building and land surveys, preparation of existing and proposed schemes using
CAD and or REVIT. Preparing and submitting planning applications including
preparing all relevant documents.
Travelling will be a large and integral part of this role and being in possession of a
driving license essential for any applicant.
The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified architect or an architectural
technician. However we would consider other suitable candidates with experience
using CAD and / or REVIT and a good knowledge of the property and construction
The following will also be essential:
- Valid UK Driving License
- Ability to use CAD and/or REVIT to a good standard
- Attention to Detail
- Time Management
- Interpersonal Skills
- Punctuality especially when it comes to adhering to planned daily schedules
- Highly Motivated
- Comfortable with working alone
Your working week would be Monday to Friday 9.00 - 17:00.
The principal office base is predominantly to be Kington, Herefordshire
