Job Profile - Surveyor

McCartneys Planning and Survey Department are currently looking for a Surveyor
to join their successful and expanding team centered around Mid Wales,
Shropshire and Herefordshire. The Planning and Survey Department work
extensively within Wales and The Midlands, however due to the nature of our work
undertake projects throughout the country.

McCartneys Planning and survey department have a breadth of knowledge
covering all aspects of building surveying, including architectural design for
residential, rural, agricultural and commercial projects.

The duties of a Surveyor would include a variety of surveying tasks within the rural
location including: Surveying Buildings with defects, preparing planning
applications including all relevant documents, preparing specifications of works
and building regulations compliant plans and documents, undertaking measured
building and land surveys, using CAD and/or REVIT to undertake architectural
design of existing and proposed schemes. Monitoring on site projects included
preparing interim valuations of work progress. Assisting with valuations of
domestic and commercial properties.

Travelling will be a large and integral part of this role and being in possession of a
driving license essential for any applicant.

We would prefer applicants with building surveying qualifications and/or
experience in the property and construction industry. The ideal candidate with be
MRICS qualified or well advanced down their APC route however we would
consider competent applicants, with the necessary qualifications who would be
looking at undertaking there APC, for which we can provide support and

The following will also be essential:
- Valid UK Driving License
- Ability to use CAD and/or REVIT to a good standard
- Attention to Detail
- Time Management
- Interpersonal Skills
- Punctuality especially when it comes to adhering to planned daily schedules
- Highly Motivated
- Comfortable with working alone

Your working week would be Monday to Friday 9.00 - 17:00.
The principal office base is predominantly to be Kington, Herefordshire
