Mixed Tax Senior / Tax Accountant - TOP Accounting Firm

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with an Accountancy Firm who are continuing to enjoy strong growth within their Malvern offices. They are now seeking a Mixed Tax Senior (with a personal bias) who will be responsible for providing tax compliance & advisory services on all aspects of tax - corporate and personal for clients including company directors, sole traders and HNWI's. Key duties for the role include:

• Managing tax advisory queries that may include stamp duty, P11D, non-resident landlord tax returns, ATED returns, trusts and HMRC enquiry work
• Completing personal and corporate tax returns for SME businesses/owners in compliance with UK tax law and within strict deadlines
• Communicating and researching any tax queries, giving reference to the appropriate tax legislation
• Dealing with various tax issues around commercial property, estates & trust tax, share schemes/employee benefit schemes
• Working with Managers on tax updates across all areas of Tax, and keeping up to date on developments in law
• Generating more in-depth Tax investigation and consultancy referrals
• On occasion, undertaking in-depth consultancy and investigation work
• Identifying business development opportunities in order to grow the firm's client base and provide additional consultancy services

To be considered for the role you should have experience in an Accounting Firm, HMRC or specialist Tax Practice/Legal firm, ideally in a mixed compliance and advisory tax role and used to dealing with a wide variety of taxes. Experience of overseeing junior staff/graduates would be preferred, along with being able to deal with a variety of tax queries/concerns. Educated to degree level and ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, you should have a strong team ethic, exceptional relationship building skills, work well under pressure yet still deliver on time and budget.
