Our client, a marketing solutions provider in Malvern are recruiting for a Mid Weight Developer to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role:
  • As a developer you will be developing upon a custom-built application that handles 150 million transactions a month across 3 international deployments.
  • Development of code to required standards
  • Contribute to solutions for required new features or improvements
  • Promote production of code that is secure, performant, reusable, maintainable and testable
  • Attending daily stand up scrum meetings
  • Keeping an awareness of the sprint goals and working across multiple disciplines to achieve sprint success
  • Self-management of workload
  • Work alongside business analysts, project managers and QA teams
  • You will be working with a Team Leader in an agile teams

Some of the technologies you'll become an expert in are:
  • PHP7
  • RabbitMQ
  • Docker
  • Laravel 5
  • SASS

You will be challenged to create optimised, performant code to ensure the system runs efficiently.

  • Writing and consuming APIs
  • Understanding of security principles
  • Experience with GIT version control or similar

Nice to haves:
  • Experience of test-driven development
  • An understanding of design patterns
  • Pretty good at JavaScript
  • Experience with large volume data processing
  • Worked in an agile environment
  • Knowledge of frameworks
