A successful engineering Company is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join their growing team.You will be responsible for the verification and validation of systems to confirm that the high-technology instruments, designed and manufactured by the Company, are fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • ·Develop verification and validation strategies, plans and specifications for the assigned systems and subsystems;
  • ·Specify/develop test rigs and harnesses as required to support the test plans and specifications;
  • ·Lead the 3rd party qualification activities - EMC, Environmental and safety testing;
  • ·Deliver test solutions on time and in full;
  • ·Lead on the resolution of test failures and drive to completion;
  • ·Maintain the verification and validation reference matrices (VVRM) for the assigned system and subsystems.


You could be the perfect candidate for this Senior Test Engineer opportunity if you have the following skills and experience:
  • ·HND, Degree or equivalent in a related discipline;
  • ·Experience of validation and verification of a complex electronic product;
  • ·Previous experience in a tightly controlled environment such as defence, aerospace, medical;
  • ·Significant experience in the delivery of customer projects on time, to specification and budget;
  • ·Firm advocate of using best practice engineering process methods to deliver quality products;
  • ·Previous experience of defining qualification tests in accordance with industry standards such as EN 60068, EN61000, EN61010, Mil-STD-810, MIL-STD 461, MIL-STD-882 etc.;
  • ·Proven experience of developing verification and validation strategies, plans and specifications;
  • ·A broad depth of best practice technical experience from a volume-based business with a technically challenging product;
  • ·Adaptable, flexible, customer focused, intuitive, high initiative, good interpersonal skills, organised, results focused, self-driven and self-developing;
  • ·Within commuting distance of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire;
  • ·Full UK driving licence and own transport.
