'Deliver high quality homes and services for our customers' is one of our five strategic aims and the one that sets out our commitment to our customers.

whg is a customer focused organisation with a strong social purpose. We are one of the West Midlands leading and most successful providers of high quality homes with a presence in 18 Local Authorities. We have aspiring success measures to meet and we are confident that we can achieve them.

This is why we are looking for 2 Gas Engineer's to join our Services and Eco Team. This will be a busy yet rewarding role, where you will be carrying out routine services and installations as well as repairs to gas boilers and fires.

Of course, things have a habit of breaking down at inconvenient times or when the weather is at its worst, so you will need to be flexible and be prepared to work between 8am and 6pm (Monday to Friday) with some Saturday working. In critical weather periods you may also be required to work outside of these hours, and we also operate an out of hours rota and new engineers will be asked to join this rota as and when a vacancy arises.

You must hold a valid Gas Safe accreditation and at least a Level Two qualification in Domestic Natural Gas and Maintenance, with a willingness to achieve a Level Three qualification if required.

You will also have a real passion for working with customers as we are looking for skilled people who can show care and consideration for customers, often in the most trying of times. Getting the job done to high gas standards is one thing but getting it done and making our customers happy, is crucial.

Sound like the role for you? In return we ensure our colleagues receive a competitive salary with additional on call payments. We also offer a great benefits package including 27 days annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme, health cash plan, and child care vouchers.

Home Maintenance Services is currently under represented by women and BME colleagues, therefore we particularly welcome applications from Female and BME applicants

whg is committed to safer recruitment and to the protection and safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults and will conduct appropriate background checks where necessary.
