Role: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Stoke on Trent

Salary: GBP34,866 basic + benefits + pension + shift allowance

Shift:

5 out of 7. During summer period Early's (6am -3pm) and lates (2pm - 10pm); during winter period days only (8am to 4pm)

Working on the late shift will include an extra GBP33 and working the 6th day out of 7 is paid at time and a half.

An exciting opportunity has come about with one of our key clients, who are looking for a maintenance Engineer, as part of the ride on team. The company, a global entertainments brand operates successful theme parks all over the globe including the UK.

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the daily operation, dealing with breakdowns and routine maintenance, through applying problem solving skills to diagnose and rectify problems giving maintenance support.

Roles and responsibilities:

* To maintain a flexible approach to carrying out all engineering duties as defined by the Technical Services department.

* To carry out mechanical and electrical inspection activities.

* Provide timely and regular communication to the Technical Services Team Leader about operational issues, ensuring the earliest possible resolution and providing appropriate support as required, displaying the ability to make decisions.

* To ensure required documentation is completed in line with company guidelines.

* Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on park rides and infrastructure

Experience:

The successful candidate will have an NVQ L3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline. A competent track record in maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems. Transferrable skills are key in this role and the client is happy to look.

Laptop diagnostics and fault finding on electrical management systems.

Although electrically biased hydraulics' and mechanical systems will be maintained, and the successful candidate will need to be able to show a competent record.
