HIRE OFFICE CONTROLLER (New Post)

SALARY £21,000 - £24,000 dependant on experience

Halesfield, Telford, Shropshire

Hours 07.45-17.30, 1 hour lunch, Monday-Friday

20 days holiday plus bank holidays

THE ROLE:

Working for a long established independent Plant, Access and Tool Hire company, you will be employed as Hire Controller, taking trade hire business. You will work closely with the owner of the business and colleagues to maintain high standard of service to our trade and industrial customers. For this exciting new role we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our small team, who has previous Hire Control experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing new business
  • Building and maintaining lasting relationships with repeat customers
  • Taking on and off hire calls/orders
  • Organising and coordinating transport
  • Hire contracts administration
  • Prioritising workload
  • Negotiating rates and resolving customer queries
  • Advice on machine applications
  • Booking training access courses
  • Other duties as required

SKILL AND REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate for this job will have:

  • Previous experience in the sector
  • Friendly telephone manner and good communication skills
  • The ability to work well with the existing team
  • Strong commitment to deliver an excellent customer service
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload/logistics
  • IT literate Microsoft office
  • Full UK drivers licence
  • The ability to acquire product knowledge
  • Good knowledge of the local area
