A highly reputable law firm are seeking an established Legal Cashier to support the Cashiering department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded legal practice during an exciting time within the business. You will play a pivotal part within the department and ensure all cashiering operations run smoothly with the accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions for the Firm and its clients.

You will carry out competent and effective cashiering duties in accordance to the Firm's procedures and the Solicitor's Accounts Rules. This position is based at the Firm's head office, but you will also be responsible for the cashiering for one other site.

This is a proactive role which will require a great deal of liaison with Fee-Earners and clients, therefore excellent communication and customer service skills are paramount.

Alongside possessing the relevant experience, you will also be a confident and an engaging individual who always strives to deliver the highest level of service.

Key Duties:

• To undertake daily banking functions including bank reconciliations and operation of online banking facilities.

• The processing of client and office accounting transactions including postings and cheque production.

• The processing of client bills to include checking and posting

• Input and production of nominal requests.

• Processing automatic and manual payment runs by BACS/TT and cheque.

• The processing of bank transfers.

• Assist in month end procedures.

• Processing of travel and other expenses.

• Dealing with enquiries from fee earners and other staff members.

• Dealing with enquiries and payments from clients.

• The administration and reconciliation of petty cash.

• Ad hoc Financial Reporting.

• Assisting in the daily routine tasks including filing and data input.

• Operation of office equipment including desktop computers, phone system, photocopier etc.

• Undertake appropriate training and development in relation to the role.

• Undertaking duties of a reasonable nature which may be requested from time to time
