The Role:

Our client are looking for an experienced Tendering Engineer to join their team at the office in Stone.

You will take responsibility for the production of high quality tenders and be accountable for the commercial and financial aspects of those tenders whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are maintained within strict guidelines.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Take full responsibility for quality of Tenders.

• Reviewing client enquiry documentation and understanding the requirements in detail.

• Preparing tender documentation Involvement in our clients Internal Risk Review Process

• Subcontractor interface and negotiation.

• Submission of completed tender proposals to meet customer deadlines.

• Tender follow-up and negotiations together with Bid Managers, Front End Sales and Ops/LBU Manager.

• Ability to work across different business streams, cultures and countries. Your success will depend heavily on your ability to network and build relationships with people from all parts of the organisation, UK and overseas.

There will be UK travel in line with business requirements.

Customer Responsibilities

• Interfacing with the client's team with respect to commercial, contract administration, quantitative risk analysis, agreement of the risk register.

• Provide on going support to the customer by holding tender follow-up meetings including taking ownership and responding to all post Tender questions, preparing presentations and carrying out contract negotiations.

Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Full UK Driving License

• Recognised engineering qualification minimum HNC

• MV product knowledge and Industrial substation experience

• Sound communication, presentation and negotiation skills

• Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.

• Ability to work under pressure and work on your own initiative.

• Sound PC skills including but not limited to, Office365,

Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

• Experience within Transmission & Distribution, HV Cables & Major Civil Industries

• Previous Tendering experience

• Experience of Contract terms, NEC3, FIDIC.
