An East Midlands based local authority is currently seeking a Children's Social Worker join their Children Protection team. This local authority boasts a great reputation in the area, and as such roles in their service are only available once or twice a year. As a Social Worker within the Local Authority you will be granted a 4-day working week, allowing you to have a better work life balance with a 3-day weekend. Frequent supervision with your manager and a good support structure ensure that Social Workers working there feel appreciated for their hard work.

The successful Children's Social Worker will have experience of:

  • Working with children on the Child Protection Plans, Looked after Children and Children in Need
  • Child protection Care proceedings
  • Court Reports
  • Working with the new Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Section 47s
  • Core Assessments
  • Child protection meetings
  • Planned meetings
  • Case management
  • LAC Reviews
  • Conducting reviews
  • Attending LAC Reviews

As a Children's Social Worker, you will be:

  • HCPC registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Car Driver Essential
