An East Midlands based Local Authority is currently seeking Qualified Social Workers for their Children's Service. They are open to speaking to candidates across the frontline spectrum from Referral & Assessment, Duty, Children in Need and Child Protection services. They pride themselves on providing a child first approach to their casework and as such have been awarded a 'Good' OFSTED for their work.

They are looking for Qualified Social Workers who share their desire to ensure that children's needs are met throughout their dealings with the local authority and to ensure this is feasible have capped caseloads of 18 per Social Worker. The local authority offers a 4-day working week whilst also providing mobiles and laptops to ensure everyone can work to the best of their abilities.

The successful Children's Social Worker will have experience of:

  • Working with children on the Child Protection Plans, Looked after Children and Children in Need
  • Child protection Care proceedings
  • Court Reports
  • Working with the new Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Section 47s
  • Core Assessments
  • Child protection meetings
  • Planned meetings
  • Case management
  • LAC Reviews
  • Conducting reviews
  • Attending LAC Reviews

As a Children's Social Worker, you will be:

  • HCPC registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Car Driver Essential
