Cloud - Infrastructure Specialist
To manage the company's expansion into cloud services including Microsoft Azure. Mature the processes and procedures used to support the cloud environments, expanding automation solutions and promoting DevOps. To participate in both 'business as usual' and project activities and provide expert guidance and support on cloud, on-premise and hybrid Infrastructure issues.
To improve the IT departmental operational service expertise in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and transition to such.
Monitor system performance via relevant dashboards, highlighting any amber issues and taking action on red issues.
Complete daily infrastructure checks to ensure critical processes and back-ups have been successful.
Take action on any systems in which processes and / or back-ups have failed or not been completed. Ensure recovery of information is complete as quickly as possible.
Support satellite sites in ensuring they have the correct IT infrastructure to access relevant systems and databases.
Provide guidance and maintenance of Azure and cloud platforms, Active Directory Services, physical data centre hardware, virtual and physical network services and any other infrastructure related software and services.
Act as a subject matter expert on IT Infrastructure within the organisation and support any projects with infrastructure input as required.
Ensure compliance with ITIL standards and procedures is maintained at all times throughout projects.
Create Standard Operating Procedures for infrastructure processes. Regularly review and maintain SOPs to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Undertake capacity and performance management of infrastructure related systems to maximise uptime.
