The Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced QHSE candidate to contribute to improving Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) performance. Ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment and quality. Support the businesses by applying in-depth QHSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice.

Overall responsibility for the standardisation and functionality of the Business Management System, including Business Metrics Reports HSE incidents

Lead on the development of processes consistent with Legislation and Industry best practice.

Lead on the development of QHSE performance improvement strategies

Produce monthly QHSE KPIs and management information

Ensures the organisation operates in alignment with the QHSE standards, policies and code of practice for safe working.

Establishes, implements and maintains approved Business Line specific risk programs

Coach, support and provides advice to Management Team

Report on the performances of the respective organisation

Maintains HSE Training standards and competence to a high level

Contributes to effective risk management of QHSE related issues by providing specialist knowledge and advice

Drives continuous improvement and behavioural change

Ensure an exemplary H&S culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the organisation.

Facilitate effective two-way communication

HSE incident and Quality issue investigation

Report and analyse all aspects of HSE performance.

Ensures area of responsibility is audited according to program for audit.

Engages with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders

Project management - Develops and report on project objectives.

Provide internal service for audit of Service unit processes to monitor performance & identify areas for improvement.

Provide Quality and HSE support to Service units ensuring compliance to all necessary legislation and directives.

The role requires a team player, able to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, determination and a positive can do attitude.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• HSE professional

• Qualified to Diploma level in HSE and Quality Management

• Strong organisational & communication skills

• Conversant with relevant ISO & OHSAS standards

• Member of a relevant professional body

• Computer literate & proficient IT skills

• Electrical experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

• HV power systems experience

• Experienced in the operation & management of business management systems
