My client is a world leader in the Aerospace sector. They are one of the UK's leading design and manufacturers of high precision components.

The role

Due to an increase in demand to meet customers' requirements and unparalleled growth in their market, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Control Engineer to join their Plant Engineering team.

This position reports into the Plant Engineering Manager and is an integral role within the Plant Engineering team. The Control and Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for the calibration, programming and maintenance of temperature control instruments and programmable logic / numerical control systems across the full remit of the site. The role includes deputising for the pyrometry Lead Engineer in their absence.

Other responsibilities will be:

* Calibration of associated equipment

* Quality management and documentation

* Instrument and PLC configuration and diagnosis

* Technical support

* Project Management

Ideally you will have/be:

* The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will have experience of working in a similar environment.

* HND or above in Control & Instrumentation or a relevant discipline.

* Knowledge of installation and maintenance of temperature control/measurement systems, particularly Eurotherm Review and iTools.

* Experience of PLC systems and networks.

* Proficient in use of MS office software.

* Accuracy and attention to detail.

* Problem analysis and solving.

* Adaptability and ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.

* Knowledge of Industry standards such as NADCAP would be advantageous.

Hours of work

Monday to Thursday (07.30am - 4.30pm) and Friday (07.30am - 12.30pm).

Salary - GBP34'000 - GBP38'000 annual salary dependent on experience.
