Lead Electrical Design Engineer - EPLAN Shropshire - Permanent - GBP45-55k + bonus

Our client is based in East Shropshire and they're looking for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer with a solid background using the EPLAN design package.

Principle duties of the Lead Electrical Design Engineer include -

* Electrical design (EPLAN) including electrical schematics, control panel GAs, cable block diagrams, cable / termination schedules, bill of materials

* Leading a small team, mentoring, guiding and coaching others

* Production of contract documentation packages

* Customer support, co-ordination, tendering and project handovers

* Control panel build and control panel modification design activities and design approvals.

* Occasional project engineering

* Actively be involved in system commissioning.

The successful Lead Electrical Design Engineer will have the ability and experience to create cable schedules, produce layouts and general arrangements based on conceptual information from the Project Engineering team i.e. we need someone who could work from a list of I/O without someone having to draw it out for them.

The client has a fantastic reputation and is a very well-established organisation. A genuine career path and a modern working environment are part of the offering as well as a bonus scheme based on personal performance which can/does pay up to 10% of basic salary.

The challenge these teams are facing is that by the amount of information and design that is being passed over, the Engineering teams could have done the work themselves so they're looking for an experienced individual who can design from concept, hence this being more than just a typical "Draughty" role.

The position is mainly office based and is commutable from the following places - Market Drayton, Telford, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Newport.
