These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health issues, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless and those fleeing domestic abuse. Trident has over 50 years of delivering homes, services and innovation in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands. It employs more than 800 staff, works with over 150 volunteers and provides training places and apprenticeships for many more.

About the role

We are currently looking to recruiting an Intensive Housing Management Officer Post based between Sandwell and Dudley. The role provides housing related support for vulnerable people at risk within our accommodation based services.

The main focus of the role is to help clients successfully move into independent living whilst offering key support for vulnerable individuals through the processes of tenancy sign up, housing benefit claims.

Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract for 3 months covering 18.75 hours per week.

About You

You will be enthusiastic and highly motivated at achieving positive outcomes with our customers. You will be an experienced Housing Officer, able to offer key support for vulnerable people through the process of tenancy sign ups and housing benefit claims. You will work to deliver a high quality person centred support service that meets the diverse needs of our customer base. The role will also require you do be able to work in partnership with support staff to take part in assessments and other aspects of work that impact tenancy sustainment for customers.

* Experience of working with vulnerable client groups

* Understand occupancy agreements and housing benefit claims and liaise with benefit agencies as well as tenancy responsibilities

* Delivering high standards of housing management and ensuring that the service is meeting best practice

* Working with colleagues to maintain good links with the local neighbourhood.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse complex information and produce comprehensive reports

* Day-to-day administration duties

* Pro-Active approach to deliver in a diverse service

* An analytical mind and ability to find positive solutions is essential
