Your responsibilities:
  • Responsible for powertrain media conditioning equipment at the UK Tech Centre (e.g. ConsysCool, ConsysLube and other HVAC equipment)
  • Responsible for consumption measurement devices (740)
  • Preparation, installation, connection, service, maintenance and calibration of equipment in accordance with given procedures
  • Creates service and maintenance schedules
  • Controls and regulates the facilities to ensure the optimal operating state
  • Procures the equipment and consumables needed in the relevant area of responsibility

Day to Day Duties:

Keeping the test beds up and running.

Maintaining test equipment like:
  • Fuel measurement devices
  • Conditioning units for oil and coolant circuits
  • Tech floor equipment like air handling units,
  • Air heater
  • Humidifier
  • Pumps, filters, etc.
  • Trouble shooting of the mentioned devices
  • Support instrumentation of test vehicles and powertrains
  • If skilled also manufacturing of special test setups including machining and fabricating brackets, support frames, etc.
  • Maintain schedules and keep the test equipment manager content up to date
  • Maintaining H&S, that might include the writing of risk assessments

Your profile:
  • Completed technical education/training in the field of supply engineering, environmental engineering, process engineering, facilities engineering or mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Expertise in the field of control engineering
  • Experience in handling and parametrizing PLCs
  • Experience in supervising the operation of HVAC systems
  • Independent, target-oriented way of working and a high level of initiative
  • Willing to work shifts
