Previous care experience with Learning Disabilities is essential.

As a Team Leader, you'll make a real difference to the lives of the people we support as you provide high quality services that support each of our serviceusers to achieve their potential. This position is within a registered care home where 8 people are supported. You will support these people on a day to day basis alongside developing flexible and realistic support plans and risk assessments with the individuals you support and in collaboration with other professionals, ensuring that the support plans reflect each person's needs goals and aspirations. Part of the role will include reviewing support plans and risk assessments, chairing review meetings, completing Mental Capacity Assessments, holding Best Interestmeetings and completing DoLS applications.
It is essential that you have the skills to communicate via email and produce documents in Word.
We are looking for Team Leaders who can quickly adapt within busy and changeable environments. Not only will you need the ability to lead a team of Support Workers on a shift, allocate work and delegate tasks. You will be expected to directly line manage a group of support staff, this will include managing sickness, supervisions and appraisals, managing performance issues and coaching. We expect our Team Leaders to bring the strong communication skills needed to tailor their message to a variety of audiences.
You should be a team player with some experience gained in the care sector - preferably a working knowledge of supporting individuals who have a learning disability.
