Supplying high technology industries, this leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery is currently recruiting a Controls Engineer. You will be involved in the design, development and implementation of industrial control solutions software.

Commutable from: Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Redditch, Sutton Coldfield, Telford.

Salary: GBP 35,000 - GBP 45,000 p.a. + GBP6000 car allowance + bonus +life assurance

The Role

Working for a recognised and leading manufacturer of specialist machinery you will play a key role within the engineering team and be responsible for the design, development, implementation and commissioning of control systems software.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, implementation, testing and commissioning of control systems software (PLC/HMI/SCADA)

Development and implementation of the documentation associated with control systems

Assist customers and Service Engineers with electrical / control problems at office, remotely or onsite

Testing, evaluating, modifying and calibrating products and instruments

Analysing and interpreting data

Working with team of engineers to find innovative solutions

Liaise with other departments to allow effective and smooth running of the business

The Person

Working knowledge with PLC hardware and associated software

Working knowledge/proficiency with SCADA and associated software

Previous experience at industrial projects, teams and roles

Produce detailed Technical Documentation to a high standard (Design, documentation, Programming, Testing and Commissioning, Electrical design and Drawings using EPlan/AutoCad)

Ability to work well with a team

Preferably qualified to HND or degree level.
