We are a thriving Co-educational Preparatory School in Shrewsbury, Shropshire with over 300 Pupils, aged 3-13 years. The School is situated on a beautiful 30-acre estate and offers flexi boarding supporting our independence and enrichment programs.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Assistant Housemistress to join the pastoral team in our boarding house. The main function of this role is to be an adult presence in the House and to ensure that there is pastoral support for the pupils in relation to their educational, social, emotional and physical needs. Working in our boarding house is highly rewarding, the children build long lasting relationships and Prestfelde values each individual for their interest and talents shared.
We believe this role is perfect for the responsible graduate / intern deciding what they really want to do next, Prestfelde will support and provide further training to support careers such as teaching assistant, teaching, Educational Psychology, child development or marketing and business development. The hours required will be flexible and will require being on duty throughout the early evenings and for three nights per week during term-time only, for 35 weeks of the year. The salary is £13,000 per annum, inclusive of accommodation and meals. The start date will be the 2 September 2019.

Previous medical experience is preferable but not essential as First Aid training will be provided, if necessary. This role would suit someone who is caring and has a calm and friendly manner.
