My client is a world leader in the Aerospace sector. They are one of the UK's leading design and manufacturers of high precision aerospace components.
The role
Due to an increase in demand to meet customers' requirements and unparalleled growth in their market, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join their Plant Engineering/Maintenance Department.
As part of the Plant Engineering team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving special assets and machinery.
The Lead Plant Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
* Ensuring all plant and equipment is in a safe working condition.
* Identifying and specify spare part requirements for machine repair and order using EFACS system.
* Planning workloads and activities of other plant engineers on site.
* Must have knowledge of machine control systems and/or mechanical drawings.
* Use Shire management system to ensure all Maintenance documents are completed accurately and on time.
* Experience working in a Maintenance Department and in manufacturing environment is essential.
* Create own planned maintenance work to list/report from Shire maintenance system.
* Create, update and review technical drawings and engineering records.
* Create, update and review planned maintenance and service schedules.
* Machine condition reporting/fault trend analysis including upgrade and capital investment ideas.
* Work in conjunction with production in order to minimise plant downtime.
* Be proactive in the maintenance and identification of improvements to kit, implementing those improvements once agreed with customers.
* Liaise with production to prioritise workload.
Ideally you will have/be:
* Previous experience within a similar role essential
* Experience working with the Maintenance Department within a manufacturing company
* Knowledge of machine control systems and fault-finding experience
* Previous managerial or supervisory experience essential
* Multi-Skilling combining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control engineering. Ideally qualified to HNC standard and/or equivalent work experience.
* Be flexible with shifts due to the nature of the role (days, afternoons, nights and weekends when required)
* Have good knowledge of health and safety policies
Day Shift
Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 4.30pm) and Friday (7.30am - 12.30pm).
Must be flexible with shifts though due to the nature of the role.
Salary - GBP38'000 - GBP42'000 dependent on experience.
