DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL SALESRole and ResponsibilitiesPOSITION & REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:We are looking for an exceptional Director of International Sales. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic and integrity, is dedicated to high performance, personal excellence, and shares our passion for transforming medical education and patient safety. The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the Global sales objectives by building and maintaining a high performing sales organization to effectively achieve business objectives, maximize revenue opportunities, and optimize profits. You will achieve these results through coaching and development of Managers of Sales, executing and supporting the Strategic Plan of the Healthcare business, assisting in the creation and execution of Sales Training, Territory Planning, Variable Compensation, Marketing and Sales Operations Tools across the assigned area and in collaboration with the Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing and other stakeholders.You will be accountable to coordinating sales team strategies in alignment with the established Marketing Strategy to include, but not limited to, the execution of sales of new products, adoption support of the Global Healthcare Strategic Plan. You will positively uphold the reputation and brand of CAE Healthcare with integrity.The ideal candidate displays leadership qualities, with a proven record of accomplishment in implementing new market channels, establishing effective sales team structure for direct as well as through distributors, leading a diverse team in a cross-cultural environment to develop a strong sales pipeline and meeting or surpassing the sales quota.The position requires frequent travel, building relationships with key opinion leaders, Business partners, top Clients, sales personnel, Scientific societies, attendance at major tradeshows. This position requires to collaborate and team with internal business partners, such as Human Resources, Finance, Marketing and Academy to gain support to drive exceptional results. The position covers the region of EMEA, Asia and LATAM reports directly to the Vice President Global Sales and Marketing and is based ideally in Mainz, Germany or in UK.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Achieve or exceed sales objectives for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.Support Pricing Strategy and maintain healthy margins while accelerating sales cyclePropose new ideas and suggestions to the Leadership Team through occasional, self-requested, participation in LT MeetingsLead the sales organization in the assigned region, and foster a culture of accountability, professional development, and success.Support Managers of Sales creating and executing the Sales Business Plan to meet Quota.Travel with regional sales managers on occasion to major Client MeetingsAttend at International Tradeshows related to the field.Manage key customer relationships and remove obstacles to close strategic opportunitiesWork with Marketing and Account Management to ensure consistent lead generation.Build relationships with clients, key thought leaders and reference accounts.Evaluate, hire, build, mentor, and train sales teams.Prepare detailed and accurate sales forecasting.Define and execute sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and transfer knowledge back to leadership teamTrack expenditures of team to conform to budgetary requirements.Conduct regular training sessions, with other company personnel, for the sales personnel.Coordinate with other company personnel when needed for customer satisfaction, including support resources, team members, and management.Support the implementation of corporate sales and marketing policies and procedures in a timely and professional manner.Help establish and comply with sales policies, pricing guidelines, and best practices for CAE Healthcare's service offering.Maintain the highest standards of integrity and respect for employees, co-workers, customers and prospects.REQUIREMENTS:Live in the region (Mainz, Germany or UK) BA/BS in life sciences or business discipline.Minimum 5 years of experience managing a sales force at the director level.Extensive Sales experience in Healthcare sales, ideally in medical simulation, capital equipment or medical devices, Experience managing multiple sales channels (direct as well as distributors)Documented record of sales achievements in prior sales position,Work effectively in a virtual environment.Aptitude to professionally develop and coach team members.Documented record of success in establishing and building sustainable relationships.Proven business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage customers, costs and growth to meet objectives.Proven record in forecasting and leveraging Salesforce.com.Aptitude to hire, train, lead and manage a diverse sales team in a cross-cultural environmentProficient in solution-based selling and established closing techniques.Solid understanding of the Healthcare and medical equipment marketplace.Proficient with the technical and clinical aspect of medical equipment sales.Aptitude to recruit and retain a high-performance sales team, through ongoing motivation and management. Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy.Travel up to 60% in the assigned region. Travel during the first year may be up to 70% to firmly become established in the region. Proficiency in business-related computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.PREFERRED:Formal leadership training.Experience with extended sales cycles (8 to 15 months).Demonstrated knowledge of Healthcare simulation products.Experience with the purchasing process associated with state academic institutions, hospitals, universities, community colleges and technical schools.GENERAL:Complies with and enforces all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures both at CAE Healthcare and wherever CAE Healthcare is represented (i.e., program site, trade show, etc.). Performs all duties in compliance with and enforces all applicable legal and ethical standards including: CAE's Code of Business Conduct, CAE's policies and procedures, country laws and regulations, Federal and States or Provincial Laws, policies and standards.Maintains security of all proprietary information.Performs other duties as assigned or as necessity dictates.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift or push weight up to 50 pounds (simulators).Ability to operate standard office equipment.
