SEMH TA: Behaviour Support
Our client is looking for a SEMH Behaviour Support who can provide a Year 5 Pupil in care with personal and inspirational mentoring. The pupil has behavioural difficulties and attachment disorder and they will require a successful candidate to work on a 2:1 basis.
This will be on a Fixed - Term basis starting from April 2019 - ongoing
The successful candidate would, therefore, need to have strong behaviour management skills and be able to implement our behaviour management policy at all times. Experience working with Behavioural difficulties would be highly desirable as this would help cater to the pupil's requirements.
The Social, Emotional and Mental Health Behaviour Support needs to be able to demonstrate empathy, resilience and relentless optimism for our pupils at all times. You do not need to be a qualified teacher however a QTS status teacher would be desirable, but the experience of working with young people is essential.
To be considered as a SEMH Behaviour Support :
MAPPA or team teach is preferred not essential
- Experience working with young people with behaviour and learning difficulties is essential
- Experience in youth work or rehabilitation preferred
Although this is a fixed term position, the project will be ongoing from April 2019 so there may be additional opportunities to work with our organisation later in the year.
