I am currently looking for a Group Finance Specialist to join a large automotive OEM.

Position Description:
  • You'll join the Portfolio Finance Team in Product Engineering, which works across all vehicle lines providing analysis and insight into future vehicle line returns as well as supporting Product Strategy and Product Planning in modelling and developing future concepts.
  • You'll focus on supporting investment tracking and reporting.

In your role, you'll:
  • Helping to review the Product Committee papers and maintain monthly TFLEs deck, with commentary on movement, and keeping track of J#1 and EOL dates of programmes Accounting / Spending Related
  • Working with Accounting to ensure they aligned to latest Product Committee assumptions, particularly around J#1 and EOL dates Consolidate the monthly PE Investment page
  • Working with the various finance contacts to understand what PE monthly forecast and annual forecast is
  • In order to feed monthly inventory Act as Finance Controller to support PE&D Finance on Project System in terms of Budget Releasing, Set up etc
  • Spending related reporting, analysis and allocations for Actual's and Forecasting to support monthly reporting with Profit Analysis Generate quarterly reports for D&A to support Inventory Accounting / Costing Act as Business Partner to PE Functions including Design, Normal Site Spend to support Pre NPIC and NPIC Reviews and Approvals to ensure alignment with Investment Inventory Act as Business Partner to PE Functions to support Project Reporting, Actual's and Forecasting. Assist in the redeveloping Capex reporting processes to be more efficient and aligned. Generate Monthly Cash data to support monthly forecasting / actuals reporting including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Support various Adhoc requests relating to Capex / Opex reporting, analysis, maintain historical spend data over time to support the Adhoc requests - ensure Off the shelf data is available.

Skills Required:
  • Capital or Assets experience
  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified by experience
  • Experience of business change or process improvement

Experience Required:
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing role.
  • Your experience will have made you no stranger to questioning and providing solutions around how to achieve commercial success in an ever-evolving environment.
  • Besides a challenger mindset, your success in this role will depend on your ability to communicate with a diverse audience ranging from Senior Management to Product Engineering, and you'll be equally comfortable liaising with Finance and non-finance stakeholders.

You'll need:
  • A proactive approach
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision and taking full ownership of profit models to report financials consistently
  • A continuous improvement mindset demonstrated by the ability to pro-actively identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and the ability to review, challenge and embed key processes.
  • Strong IT skills (particularly Excel)
  • Working accurately, meticulously
  • Having good stakeholder management skills (business partnering)

Education Required:
  • Degree
  • Good working knowledge of the core systems including SAP, Project System and BI
