Parts Advisor

Location: Hereford
Salary: GBP23,750pa to GBP25,500pa + BONUS & Overtime at time and a half

Working hours:
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 17:30pm
Every other Saturday


Our client requires an experienced Commercial Vehicle Parts Advisor / HGV Parts Advisor / Parts Advisor / Parts Sales Advisor / Commercial Vehicle Service Advisor / Service Advisor / Service Administrator for their Depot in the Hereford.

As a Commercial Vehicle Parts Advisor / HGV Parts Advisor / Parts Advisor / Parts Sales Advisor / Commercial Vehicle Service Advisor / Service Advisor / Service Administrator you will reporting to the Parts Manager to support the Customer requirements both internal and external. .

Responsibility for Commercial Vehicle Parts Advisor / HGV Parts Advisor / Parts Advisor / Parts Sales Advisor / Commercial Vehicle Service Advisor / Service Advisor / Service Administrator:

  • Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location.
  • Meet and assist the customer in a courteous and professional manner providing them with the information they need.
  • Maintain the parts department in a clean and organized manner.
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to date.
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
  • Writing orders for repair work
  • Calling customers to book in work
  • Dealing with customers over the phone, via email and face to face
  • Monitoring the repair process and keeping all customers informed.
  • Up selling after sales services
  • Ensuring workshop is working to 100% productivity by scheduling customer orders
  • Raising jobs cards

Key requirements for Commercial Vehicle Parts Advisor / HGV Parts Advisor / Parts Advisor / Parts Sales Advisor / Commercial Vehicle Service Advisor / Service Advisor / Service Administrator:

  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability build positive relationships with the customer and to interpret customer needs
  • Proven administrative skills
  • The ability to work as a team player in a busy department
  • Computer literate
  • Able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Ability to work on own initiative under pressure
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry
  • Previous experience in a parts environment
  • Working knowledge of Kerridge
