The successful candidate's role will be

?? To ensure that the requirements of the Company are met in respect of Health and Safety at Work.

?? To ensure that products comply with Company requirements and with International standards, as appropriate. To ensure that the requirements of the Company's quality management system, in respect of production activities, are met at all times.

?? To manage and develop the resource within their area of responsibility (team leaders, setters, operators and machinery). To ensure such employees work as a committed, motivated and high-performing team.

?? To identify future training needs of operators, providing training plans to the Production Manager and playing an active part in the implementation of such plans.

Applicants must be qualified in a Lean Manufacturing Qualification (eg Lean six sigma green belt). Ideally but not essential have experience of hot glass techniques.

The ideal candidate will have received project management training and have the ability to read technical drawings and documents.

The successful candidate will have experience and a qualification in people management.

The job holder will be required to work a rotating shift pattern, as follows:

Monday to Thursday 6.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

Friday 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

Monday to Thursday 2.25 p.m. to 10.55 p.m.

Friday 11.55 a.m. to 5.55 p.m.
