Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join their international, integrated and independent organisation. The successful candidate will be a driven individual who embraces challenges and can resolve complex problems. As the Payroll Administrator you will be part of a dynamic and evolving team that has been providing an outstanding quality of service to clients for over fifty years.
As the Senior Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for:
* Day to day administration of medium to large sized multiple client payrolls with no supervision; including administer RTI submissions and process end of year forms P60
* Processing of pay scale & allowance uplifts, incremental rises and contractual changes as and when required
* Using PAYRITE payroll software efficiently, including imports, exports and report writing
* Processing all types of manual payroll calculations, including salary sacrifice schemes
* Having an extensive knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments e.g. redundancy, SMP/SAP, SPP and SSP when running client payrolls
* Knowing about pension schemes, including AE process and pension upload to pension providers website
* Sending BACS payments
* Assisting with small client setups and project work
* Proactively carrying out payroll reconciliations and analysis with no supervision
* Successfully liaising with HMRC and assist with more technical enquiries when they arise
* Developing and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels
* Proactively communicating the full range of services offered by the national payroll team to clients
* Assisting with small client setups and project work, the training of new and existing staff with some supervision
The successful candidate for the role of Senior Payroll Administrator will have:
* Good IT skills, intermediate level of Excel is essential
* Previous payroll processing experience is essential, ideally within a bureau environment
* Minimum 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) grades A-C (desirable)
* Up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation and is confident in using payroll software, specifically PAYRITE
* Outstanding numeracy skills
* Excellent attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy
In return the successful candidate will receive a basic salary of GBP27,000 - GBP30,000pa depending on experience. Working hours are 8.30am - 5.00pm. The company also offers training and support to help develop your career.
