Our client is a well-established business based in Stoke on Trent who work within the construction industry. This business has enjoyed great success which has put them at the forefront of their sector. This is a hands-on role in which the successful applicant will be carrying out Team Leader duties and assisting with the day to day activities within the warehouse and stores. They will work closely with the Production and Sales Departments to meet internal/external delivery and customer service objectives and will help set and implement new standards within their finished goods and raw materials store.

Job Description:

  • As the Stores Team Leader, you are responsible for responding to production/customer demands ensuring the supply of raw materials/
    finished products is both accurate and on time
  • Use a computer including spreadsheets and email systems
  • As the Stores Team Leader, you will carry out hands-on day to day order picking, despatch and replenishment duties
  • As the Stores Team Leader, you will conduct and oversee all agreed stock checks and counts
  • A flexible approach and an ability to multitask within the team is necessary
  • Have a courteous manner to all visitors including collection and delivery personnel
  • Communicate with the Production Manager/Director frequently during your shift to ensure the requirements of the production plan are met
  • Work as part of a team
  • As the Stores Team Leader, you will ensure that quality checks are carried out on products at time of receipt from production/supplier and during the storage period and report any instances of noncompliance to the Purchasing Manager
  • To complete all paperwork relating to goods in and out of stores
  • As the Stores Team Leader, you will ensure that products within stores are properly preserved to avoid damage

Candidate Requirements:

  • The role will require a current Counterbalance Licence as operation of a forklift truck in a safe manner within our production facilities will be essential
  • Reach Truck Licence is required
  • Multidirectional (Combi-Lift) License is desirable though not essential
  • Previous Supervisory or Team Leader experience
  • Numerate and literate to a good standard
  • Appropriate stores experience - stock control, computer systems
  • Organised and diligent with paperwork and records

Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday

Salary: GBP21,000 per annum
