Job Summary

Care UK provide "Out of Hours" primary care to patients for Primary Care Trusts. Care UK provides primary care services to their patients outside normal surgery hours. This incorporates nurse advice, doctor advice, primary care centres and a home visiting service. The "Out of Hours" period is deemed as being after 18.30pm to 08.00am the following morning on weekdays, and all day Saturday's, Sunday's and bank holidays. We are seeking Bank Drivers for our Coventry & Warwickshire OOH's services who are flexible to work around Bank Holidays and who are available at short notice to cover sickness and cancellations and could cover all sites: Nuneaton, Coventry, Rugby & Warwick. In addition to driving, there is an opportunity to pick up reception shifts which will increase the number of hours you can work. Hours of work: Hours of work are negotiable to meet the service level requirements. However shift patterns will be between 3 - 6 hours during evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.


As a member of the team the post holder will be responsible in managing the out-of-hours vehicle during their shift, ensuring clinicians are safely delivered to patient's place of residence. Drivers also ensure that the vehicle is fully equipped and stocked at the beginning of each shift, reporting any issues to the Operations Manager/Shift Co-ordinator immediately. •Relevant Driving, reception or administration experience. •Dealing with a wide range of people in different situations. •Working as part of a team. •Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points •Sensitivity and empathy with people from different backgrounds. •Good standard of literacy and numeracy. •Able to prioritise workload. •The ability to exercise judgement when dealing with patient enquiries /problems. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. •Excellent Computer skills/IT literate.
