Midland Recruitment based in Studley, Warwickshire provide temporary and long term workforce solutions to companies throughout the UK.

We are currently recruiting for a Factory Trainer for our Client based in Redditch who is a major supplier of chilled seafood products to leading retailers throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.

The Factory Trainer will be responsible for the following:

* Ensuring that Quality, Food Safety, Health and Safety legislation is adhered to and requirements trained out to all colleagues.

* Assist in the application and policing of GMP with visual quality checks and escalation of issues to Quality/Technical team.

* Working efficiently as part of a team.

* Writing work instructions, complying with BEF policies and standards.

* Review current risk assessments

* Implement new risk assessments / work instructions following NPD to production handover

* Training and Validation of fit for purpose work instructions.

* Signing off training assessments and passing them to Training Co-ordinator.

* Carrying out necessary training indicated by other managers (within own abilities) if approved by Manufacturing manager.

* Post recruitment process: Conducting weighing test/interview/aptitude for manual work assessments.

* Helping BEF new starters with adapting to the factory (introduction to the workplace on the first day, providing information required). Ensure new starters are aware of all training requirements and agree training plan with each starter.

* Co-operating with Midland Recruitment by attending meetings and providing feedback, advice and help.

* Assist with the production team when required by Manager.

* Develop criteria to evaluate the effectiveness and understanding of training activities.

* Maintain visibility on the operations floor to assure new operatives' success, maintain process knowledge, and identify gaps in the training process.

* Maintains training database, records of training and other documentation as needed.

* Identify and assist in conducting cross functional training between processes to maintain and improve the growth of associate knowledge and the flexibility.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:


* Experience in manufacturing manual roles

* Train the Trainer experience

* Articulate and able to communicate at all levels and across colleagues with English as a second language.



* Part CIPD qualified in training

The hours of work are Sun - Tues 06.00 am - 18.00 pm week 1 and then Sun - Weds 06.00 am - 18.00 pm week 2 rotating.
