Planet Forward have been engaged by a leading Engineering and Manufacturing company to support them in their recruitment for an Account Manager for their Telford site on a permanent basis.
Position Purpose:
The primary responsibility of an Account Manager on the Core Team is to identify opportunities for the Account Managers Focus Team.
Responsibilities:
* Actively participate in team meetings
* Consistently achieve revenue goal and flip goal Expectations
* Impact revenue growth by uncovering additional engineers, buyers and relevant contacts within the existing customer base (identify client needs, generate interest and show value of offerings)
* Follow up on quotes and diagnose whether the account should sit with the Core or Focus Team
* Call dormant customers and prospects, and qualify decision makers within targeted audiences
* Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing sight of objectives
* Support the Customer Service team, Application Engineers and Quality teams as required to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
* Maintain complete and comprehensive information in the database
* Identify prospect needs, generate interest, and show value of offerings
* Encourage prospects to upload CAD to our online quoting system
* Monitor performance against objectives
* Very occasional travel to customers and trade shows may be required
Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
* Experience selling Business-to-business
* Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of professionals, both verbal and written
* Ability to successfully prospect dormant leads
* Strong telephone presenting skills
* Metric driven.
* Ability to work well with all functional work groups within the company
* Independent, dependable, resourceful and self-motivated
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Resilient, Strong objection handling skills
* Proven performer (quota or goal)
* Experience generating new opportunities and business via telephone (prospecting, cold calling, closing)
* European language skills an advantage but not essential
* Experience on the Salesforce CRM System would be of benefit but not essential.
* Computer Literate, MS Word, Excel, powerpoint, Outlook and Salesforce
* Working in a technical sales environment would be an advantage
* Be able to demonstrate and show evidence of success in previous roles.
Aptitude/Competencies:
* Ability to multi task and prioritise
* Able to work in a fast paced, goal orientated environment
