Due to team expansion we are looking to recruit a Full Time Application Engineer to work for one of our Automotive OEM clients based in Gaydon.

This role is primarily to support the implementation & on-going operation of a supplier issues resolution process along with the management of new supplier connections to applications and processes which includes; network connectivity, registration for suitable tools and compliance with company processes.

The role in detail

* Manage IT connectivity issues for large OEM, supporting Pulse (VPN), PI-VPN, ENX and MPLS to ensure all Supplier problems are resolved to the agreed Service Level Agreement.

* Connectivity support for Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE applications including CATIA V6.

* Connectivity support for Siemens Teamcenter application including CATIA V5

* Produce dashboards and reports for management to help review issues currently outstanding.

* Organise communications to Suppliers when upgrades and system outages are either planned or unplanned.

* Manage Supplier support cases via Salesforce (CRM) software including raising and managing cases, escalating cases, creating/editing Salesforce accounts and adding support contracts/supported products.

* Remote OEM connectivity support for RMDV, eAPQP, ePSW and AIM2 applications.

* Maintain internal MX Data exchange software for application roll-outs.

* Implement support process improvements to align to customer requirements.

The successful applicant will be able to work within a technical environment, as part of a wider process for connectivity compliance that the team is delivering. The successful applicant will focus on the management and resolution of technical issues that arise as part of this process.

The Ideal Person

The successful candidate should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

* Project Management skills

* Strong analytical skills

* Experience of IT tools issue management.

* Experience of supporting Windows Desktop environment i.e. Windows 7 / 8 / 10.

* Technical & troubleshooting connectivity skills in Networking i.e. VPNs, Juniper client, Pulse client.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Both face to face and telephone.

* Highly motivated and dynamic customer focused attitude

* Organised

* Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise work accordingly.

* Experience of implementing and maintaining a process methodology to complex issue resolution.

* A clear understanding of the need to lead and work within, established processes.

* Experience of working with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
