My Client, a market leader in manufacturing automated machinery and packaging equipment, are recruiting for an Electrical Service Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
*Extensive world class training programme provided*
*OTE Year 1 - £40,000*
1. Installation/commissioning/training/warranty support/service contract support on new and second-hand machinery and equipment
2. Continued development/modification support to all of my clients products and group responsible machinery and equipment in the field
3. Scheduled machine servicing and inspection visits UK wide and overseas in support of group commitment.
4. Emergency breakdown support visits
5. Supporting site surveys for new equipment supply/unloading/installation
6. Telephone 'help desk' support and advice line to customers
7. Telephone and e-communication with all group colleagues and offices'
8. To attend training at my clients training School oversees or UK head office workshop
9. Reconditioning second hand machinery/equipment to high standard for re-sale
10. Out of hours call-out support (during training with experienced engineer and thereafter when qualified to attend solo)
11. Support/attend UK exhibitions as necessary
12. Loading/unloading new and second hand machinery and their movement as required
13. Understanding the stores tasks [ordering/auditing during stock checks/goods returns from customers/out of stores hours parts picking & recording]
14. Level 1, 2 & 3 engineering progression/development/advancement tasks to complete within time scales and proactively
15. All other reasonable work-related tasks as requested by your supervisor/line manager
Knowledge/skills
1. Electrical plant equipment understanding would be advantageous (Apply online only)v 3phase 50htz plus single phase, transformed power supplies, standard motor wirings plus operation of servo motors, prox switches, beam sensors, start/stop and emergency circuits, cct board information corresponding to inputs, PLC inputs/outputs)
2. Using testing equipment to fault find
3. Understanding electrical drawings and transferring information to actual panel or circuitry on equipment
4. Mechanical skills in fitting components, setting timing stages, fault finding mechanical problems, repair/replace and set to work parts and components on operational equipment
5. Useful if candidate has pneumatic knowledge (low pressure) used for valve control and vacuum control (6-8bar)
