Nelson Permanent Placements are proud to be representing our Manufacturing client based in the West Midlands who are looking to add a Junior Quality Technician to their Technical team.
Our client has a wealth of experience in their sector and are looking to transfer this to the successful applicant.
To be considered for this role you must have willingness to learn and develop their career in engineering.
Salary: GBP18,000-GBP26,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
* Management of the company's calibration system for gauges and measuring devices.
* Product inspections on a variety of products and processes.
* Investigation and corrective actions of customer complaints, internal complaints and supplier issues.
* Training production staff in the correct usage of measurement equipment and inspections.
* Attend production meeting of behalf of the quality department.
* Maintain the customer returns area and ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner.
* Carry out internal systems & process audits.
Skills:
* GCSE in English and Maths and Information Technology or equivalent.
* Awareness of health & safety.
* Effective communication both written and oral.
* Numerically competent.
* Effective written and verbal.
Experience/ knowledge:
* Experience using a variety of measurement equipment.
* Ability to read production and tool drawings.
* Quality systems.
* Proficiency with Microsoft office package.
